Hello.
(I use beautiful Debian+Ubuntu chimera a.k.a. cute kind of FrankenDebian monster, but I am 999.999_999‰ sure, that it is absolutely irrelevant here. BTW, it works smoothly everywhere, yet.)

My touch-pad sometimes autonomously press and hold pseudo-mouse key, so I sometimes need to turn it off before I will give it to manufacturer service inspection. (I assume that Debian or Ubuntu has no tools to test or calibrate such behaviour.)
Code:
$ xinput --list

I hope this is the touch-pad, but I am not sure, because it has also sense-point. BTW, it has real buttons on top and virtual on bottom of it.
Code:
$ xinput --list --long 12

I have installed only xserver-xorg-input-libinput, before post I added xserver-xorg-input-evdev, xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and others xorg-inpit-* (not all) and Tap touchpad to click has stopped working in xfce4-mouse-settings and is always turned off. More precisely, it stopped working for a gentle touch, for a strong press of touch area, that causes a click, it still works even it is not checked in xfce4-mouse-settings (where setting Enable horizontal scrolling does not work in the same way).

I have found old thread Touchpad enable/disable key not working, but I cannot find mentioned boolean value like /org/gnome/desktop/peripherals/touchpad/ by dconf-editor. This editor show me there multiple key: value pairs, not single value. I do not know, how to copy them here or how to run such list/dump in terminal.
I have tried:
Code:
$ dconf dump ~/.config/dconf/
Code:
$ dconf list ~/.config/dconf/
but they print nothing even if there is file user with 5390 B; the same with /etc/dconf/ directory (there is only empty db/).
I have looked at xev and it seems to work:
Code:
$ xev

root 0x6ab, subw 0x0, time 27142613, (163,-20), root:(1034,460),
state 0x10, keycode 199 (keysym 0x1008ffa9, XF86TouchpadToggle), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False

XFilterEvent returns: False
Xdotool does nothing with it, too:
Code:
$ xdotool key XF86TouchpadToggle
(I.e. it still works after this command.)
So, why do Xorg+Xfce ignore XF86TouchpadToggle event? And how to set them to acceptance?
(I have posted this in Debian Forum, too, but it was moved to section without support because chimerism, so I do not anticipate answer there.)
