    Question wireless driver-b43

I installed kubuntu maverick on my dell 1525. After installing,I did same thing that worked in ubuntu, enabling additional driver for broadcom wi-fi card. Drivers are normally visible in there. But,in kubuntu i get
"system error install archives failed". So,wi-fi is not working.

    Also,whatever I'm installing I get
    "Package: firmware-b43-installer
Error: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1" message at the end. Program is correctly installed but this messages are confusing.
Why is this happening and what to do ?

I really can't get it. Why the same driver works perfectly in ubuntu but not in kubuntu.
    Anyone ?

I also tried to search forums on all languages I know but looks like nobody had same situation.
Can't understan why additional drivers window can see my drivers but can't install them

I have the same issue, I'm on 10.10. There is a driver that makes my wireless work, but on occasion I'll be installing something via the terminal, and it gives me the same error. I can't help but wonder if the error stops the installation of stuff like update. I always get an error even when something successfully installs. I'll be looking into getting the b43 specific driver working. It may be that we have to wait for broadcom to release a specific driver for kubuntu 10.x
